As CEO, I focus on leading the growth of the business globally and shaping our offering to clients to create increasing value throughout their assessment activities.
I am a Chartered Occupational Psychologist and hold a PhD in Organisational Psychology, which focused on understanding how progressive HR practices impact on business results. Linking to business outcomes shapes much of our work in Sova, finding creative and practical solutions that deliver a great experience alongside rigour and impact.
I started my career in assessment with SHL and then worked in-house with Royal Mail Group. In 2006, I co-founded Talent Q, a psychometric assessment business. I managed the delivery of services in over 25 countries and subsequently led product development, culminating in the business being acquired by the HayGroup (now Kornferry) in 2014.
Contributing to my profession also matters to me and I try to stay actively engaged. Previously I convened the Science & Practice and PR & Communications groups for the British Psychological Society, Division of Occupational Psychology. Currently I am serving on the Board of the Association for Business Psychology, leading their work on Industry Standards.
Much of my spare time is spent with family, which with two young daughters is both fun and keeps me very occupied. I also enjoy growing food, preparing it and naturally consuming it, which combines well with an interest in experiencing other countries and cultures.
