IT Support Analyst

We currently have a vacancy for an IT Support Analyst who will be responsible for providing technical support to all Sova end-users, monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks alongside diagnosing and managing any issues relating to both hardware and software.

The role will include:

  • Assisting in building and maintaining Sova’s network server and workstation environment.
  • Providing 2nd and 3rd Line support to IT, customer services and to business end users.
  • Monitoring the connectivity to exchanges, Internet, between primary and secondary data centres and other sites.
  • Daily system checks including back-ups, software compliance, security patch management and other anomalies.
  • Reviewing security logs for access internal and external.
  • Performance tuning to ensure systems are running efficiently.
  • Setting up new users according to business requirements and the correct level of authorisation.
  • Monitoring various connections internal and external ensuring outages are dealt with promptly.
  • Preparing servers for new applications and monitoring them daily.
  • Setting up / building new windows and apple laptops to comply with internal policy.
  • Answering end user queries promptly by acting as a 'help desk' and escalation where required.
  • Seeking to continuously improve systems (small projects, quick wins, workarounds, small developments, data extractions etc...) for the business and IT.
  • Conducting behaviour in line with the core Sova values (Making Science Work, Different Together, Restless Spirits, Ever Upwards).

Who are we looking for?

To be successful in securing this position, we require you to have the following:

  • Ability to prioritise problems/issues which have been reported by end users.
  • Understanding of IT Architecture including design, best practice, hardware, software, middleware and security.
  • Ability to design and build system architecture from business requirements from build documentation
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite including: Windows 10 operating system, Windows Server, Workstations, Exchange, Hyper-V, Active directory, Domain Controllers, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Sites and Services and Office 365 Suite.
  • Preferably, knowledge of Amazon Web services and EC2 configuration and setup.
  • Knowledge of network equipment and technology including Firewalls, routers and switches
  • A minimum of 2-years 2nd Line hands on experience in an IT Desktop/Server support role
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or MCSE/MCP/CCNA certification or equivalent qualifications are desirable
  • Logical approach to problem solving
  • Excellent inter-personal skills with good time management
  • Proven customer service & communication skills

UX and UI Designer

We currently have a vacancy for a UX/UI Designer who will be responsible for innovating and improving the user experience across the Sova solution and website.

Working closely with multiple functions including IT, Marketing and the Sova leadership team, the UX/UI Designer will champion customer-centric solutions to optimise the digital experience for our customers.


The role will also include:

  • Creating sketches, wireframes, user journeys and prototypes that translate business objectives and innovation initiatives into user-centric solutions.
  • Supporting the IT team on gathering requirements, understanding business processes to help understand and shape what is required, so that you can design an innovative user-friendly interface that supports desktops, tablets and mobiles.
  • Presenting to and taking feedback from project teams, senior management, and IT with a collaborative mind-set to create best-in-class solutions.
  • Driving the user experience for brand campaigns and creative projects, in collaboration with marketing to drive, innovate and deliver winning solutions.
  • Working alongside a talented digital creative team to ensure UI best-practice and usability recommendations translate in designs; acting as a consultant throughout the process.
  • Collaborating with marketing on website analytics to continually deliver the best UX for our website.
  • Identifying and troubleshooting UX/UI problems (e.g. responsive design).
  • Defining and leading UI testing and research.
  • Conducting behaviour in line with the core Sova values (Making Science Work, Different Together, Restless Spirits, Ever Upwards).

Who are we looking for?

To be successful in securing this position, we require you to have the following:

  • Fluent in design software and tools (e.g. Sketch).
  • Relevant degree level qualification (HCI, computer science, graphic design, interactive design, etc.) or equivalent experience.
  • Deep understanding of UI best-practice, brand, content and design guidelines and an authoritative voice of view on how typography, colour, imagery, grid systems, and well-crafted animation/transitions impact the user experience.
  • Confident in a matrixed organisation where collaboration, positive relationships and influence among cross-functional peers is key to an individual’s success.
  • High degree of comfort designing for responsive and adaptive online experiences.
  • Experience within a tech or creative industry (start-up or agency experience also welcome) (ideally 2+ years).
  • A proven track record working across desktop and mobile experiences.
  • Demonstrable experience enhancing the customer experience for websites and/or native applications through UI design.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to collaborate regularly with various stakeholders at many different levels within the business.
  • Ability to comfortably juggle projects and on-going tasks, working to deadlines
  • Experience with user flows, customer journey mapping, people-centric UI design, and interaction/micro-interaction design.
  • Competency with web analytics tools (preferred but not essential).
  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, Angular Typescript JS (preferred but not essential).

Senior Python Developer

If you’re a seasoned developer with a love for back-end technologies, we’d like to meet you. We are looking for a Senior Python Developer who will play a substantial role in building functional and efficient server-side applications in order to help create high-quality products that meet our customer needs. Responsibilities include participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle and coaching junior developers.


The role will also include:

  • Building efficient server-side applications and features in Python.
  • Integrating front-end components into applications.
  • Helping design and implement functional requirements.
  • Manage testing and bug fixes.
  • Preparing technical documentation.
  • Collaborating with UX/UI designers to implement design into the code.
  • Checking code from other developers and help to coach junior team members.
  • Implementing software enhancements and suggest improvements.

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Solid hands-on experience as a Python Developer (5+ years)
  • Worked with Python 3

  • An understanding of databases and SQLM
  • Knowledge of JavaScript and the Angular Typescript JS framework
  • Experience on developing and delivering scalable applications

Senior Client Partner - UK, Germany/DACH, Australia and Singapore

The Senior Client Partner is an integral role within the Sova team; responsible for contributing to the overall growth of the business by identifying key business development opportunities.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and secure new business opportunities to sell Sova Assessment solutions within our markets.
  • Identify and manage business opportunities and deliver annual revenue in line with specified targets.
  • Respond to incoming client enquiries and sales leads in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Lead the response to invitations to tender and the preparation and presentation of client proposals.
  • Develop and establish strategic partnerships to effectively promote Sova, leading to a growth in business.
  • Collaborate with global partners and distributors to grow international sales and establish global accounts.
  • Maintain relationships with key clients and identify opportunities for additional business and cross-selling.
  • Work closely with internal teams across the business to assist in the scoping, development and delivery of client solutions.
  • Manage the contracting and account administration process to ensure that contractual/legal obligations are met.
