Sky, one of Europe’s leading media and entertainment companies, faced the challenge of a fragmented recruitment process that had a negative impact on candidates’ experience. By integrating Sova’s customised, blended assessments, virtual interviews, and virtual assessment centre, Sky streamlined their hiring process and created a more cohesive and straightforward experience for applicants.

Sky partnered with Sova to integrate customised, blended assessments, virtual interviews, and a virtual assessment centre into a single, seamless online platform. The goal was to:

By combining traditional personality questionnaires, situational judgement tests, and cognitive ability assessments into a single, blended evaluation, Sky eliminated the need for multiple, disconnected assessments. This approach provided a comprehensive, whole-person view of candidates while significantly reducing time-to-hire.

Sova conducted pass mark and adverse impact analyses, ensuring assessment outcomes were equitable across all candidate groups. This evidence-based approach allowed Sky to efficiently manage its candidate pipeline while upholding fairness, consistency, and rigour in hiring.

  • 55,975 applications across four key roles (Contact Centre Sales Advisor, Contact Centre Service Advisor, Retail Advisor, and Home Service Engineer).
  • 29,450 assessments, 12,524 video interviews, and 1,477 virtual assessment centres conducted.
  • A 69% increase in online assessment completion rates, rising from 51% to 86%.
  • An 80% uplift in video interview completion, jumping from 31% to 56%.
  • Exceptional candidate feedback, with 90% finding the assessments engaging and 85% reporting that instructions were clear and easy to follow.
