The headline feature of this release is Modern Projects, a completely new way to design and deliver candidate experiences.

So, what does that mean for you?

• More flexibility in how you guide candidates: You can now add project, phase, and activity-level information (including text, images, and videos) so candidates feel informed and supported at every step.

• Preview like a candidate: See the experience exactly as candidates will, make visual tweaks, and ensure everything feels on-brand before you hit publish.

• Confidence at launch: Publishing now includes automatic checks to ensure nothing important is missing, so projects are ready to go the moment candidates are added.

This new approach doesn’t just modernise the admin side, it also makes things clearer and smoother for candidates, helping them stay focused and confident throughout their journey.

Improved Candidate Experience

Modern Projects is designed to provide your candidates with an assessment experience that feels inclusive, modern, and fair.

• Built-in accessibility features: Modern Projects now come with an accessibility toolbar (WCAG 2.2 compliant), including zoom and colour settings. No setup required, it’s just there, for everyone.

• Clearer phase progression: Candidates see when they’ve entered a new phase, with simple banners and structured activities to keep them on track.

• Activity guidance: Information before and after assessments helps candidates understand what’s expected, reducing anxiety and boosting completion rates.

• Expected completion times can now be made visible for activities, helping candidates plan accordingly.

Smarter Email Communication

Emails in Modern Projects have been rebuilt to make them more reliable, more flexible, and easier to manage.  

• Automated and intelligent: Emails are now always sent automatically when the right trigger occurs. No more missed messages.

• Translation-friendly: One template can include multiple languages, cutting down duplication and making localisation simpler.

• New options: For example, Exit Messages (when a candidate doesn’t pass a phase) can now be delayed, allowing you to control how and when sensitive news is shared.

Other Improvements for Admins, Assessors, and Moderators

We’ve also added a range of quality-of-life improvements:

• Simpler admin setup: Creating DAC templates is easier, and you can now copy templates instead of starting from scratch.

• Assessor updates: Assessors are automatically notified if a candidate cancels a self-scheduled session, helping everyone stay aligned.

• Self-scheduling improvements: Candidates must now cancel before rescheduling, ensuring assessors and admins always have the right information.
